I FEEL LIKE A REPORTER ON ASSIGNMENT

TO MAKE GOD VISIBLE

TO OTHERS AROUND ME.

ALL I DO IS RECORD AND ILLUSTRATE

HIS INCREDIBLE BEAUTY AROUND US.

I AM ALSO ILLUSTRATING THE STORY HE IS WRITING

ON MY HEART.

IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY.

WHY I AM POSTING THIS BLOG

This is a great way to get THE WORD out and to share the story HE has been writing on my heart. Some chapters of my life have been  hard but those were the times that I learned to keep my eyes on HIM and HIS beautiful creation. I look at HIS world with artists' eyes, storing deep within my heart, images that reflect HIS glory. The Master Artist is using His creation to display His love for us. All we need to do is watch ......and listen, and be utterly amazed.
Another reason for this blog is to draw your attention to globalfingerprints.org. which helps support orphans in the Congo. I traveled to the Congo in 2007 and I will never be the same. Another way I can help, is using a portion of what I earn, selling my work, to help His beloved people in Congo. You can also help by visiting:

Cross Walk

I took this picture when my husband and I were watching the sun go down on Cannon Beach in Oregon. I found two pieces of driftwood and my husband quickly tied my shoelaces to make a cross. It was one of those moments you hope you can capture what you are really seeing. Using the evening sky as a fresh canvas, I would watch the Master Artist create His masterpiece. I could almost see His signature.........
Love, God

Cross Creek

This is exactly what I saw the day I looked up from the rock  I was standing on. The sun was shining thru the trees and shimmering across the water. A quick picture to capture a lasting memory. HE is always with me and HE wants me to know it.

When I was staying in my trailer while attending Ecola Bible school in Cannon Beach, Oregon,   rabbits were living  in the brush right behind my trailer. They were so cute and I loved seeing them. One day I came home from school and there was a baby bunny asleep on the rug on the step of my trailer. So many  delightful moments flood my memory. This is good for my soul because laughter is a good medicine. I have had more than my fair share over the years.  My pictures remind me of the way HE sprinkles my day with joy. This is just like a loving Father would delight in HIS child.
When the sun starts to set, people are drawn to the beach, as the Master Artist faithfully paints His masterpiece. We stand in awe, with the beautiful  music of the waves and the salty breeze on our face...sunsets are daily reminders of His faithful love for us.

All is Calm

I saw this bridge when we were driving in the San Juans. It is so peaceful and I love the way the water is so calm it revealed a perfect reflection. HE leads me beside the still waters....

One Last Look

On the last night of my time at Ecola Bible school in Cannon Beach, Oregon, I was having a hard time leaving the beach. So much had happened during that year and I didn't want to forget it. God reminded me that I would take all the memories with me wherever I go, because they are  written on my heart.

He leads me

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon in the Cannon Beach area, and over 35 years later I attended Ecola Bible school here. On this beach I would walk and memorize scripture, taking countless pictures, sometimes just standing at the waters edge praying to the One who knows my heart. I am so thankful for a husband who allows me the time to do this and to my God who led me here....again.

Light of His Presence

This reminded me of the Light of His presence when I saw it shining thru the trees one morning. I love His constant reminders that He is there, like an amazing sunset that takes your breath away, a newborns' first cry, looking up on a very dark night and seeing so many stars, or  standing on the beach as the ocean waves crash upon the rocks......I love that YOU are always with me wherever I go.

My first night in Gemena, in the Congo, I woke up and it was still dark and I could hear a baby crying. As soon as it got light enough, I saw this small child holding his baby sister. I later learned that their mama was bringing water for us up from the river. The river was far away and it was so heavy to carry. Bringing it for us, every day we were there.....
What can I do for them? My heart aches for His beloved people in Africa. One way we can help is support the orphans. Visit globalfingerprints.org for ways to help. A portion of what I earn selling my artwork goes back to His beloved people in Congo.

Be Still

This moment was amazing. My husband and I were staying in the San Juans on vacation. One afternoon we were sitting on a bench by the pond. We heard something and looked up just as a deer came out of the woods for a drink of water. We kept so quiet so we didnt miss this "be still and know I am God" moment.

Prayer Walk

Sometimes I go camping by myself. I spend time painting, taking pictures and going for walks. I was praying while I was walking one day on this beautiful path. I took the time to take this picture to remember the moment. I am so glad I did. This is another place that I actually felt like I was walking in the light of His presence.
